Get Great Eye Makeup with Style Eyes by Taylor Shang-Babaian
Unless I choose to go for a bold lip color, the only thing that ever really changes with my beauty routine, even for a night out, is my eye makeup. I tend to keep the majority of my makeup simple, but when it comes to my eyes, it's always fun to try something new. That's why I was so excited when Eva handed me a copy of Style Eyes by Taylor Chang-Babaian. This book gives readers the tips, tricks, and tools they need to create beautiful eyes and brows. Because I'm not the most creative person when it comes to crafting new eye-makeup looks for myself, this book was a great resource for creating cool new looks inspired by eye color, eye size and shape, age, trends, color palettes, and even art. Here's one from the book--made just for teens--that you can try out this fall:Apply warm beige foundation to the eyelid. (You can also use concealer
or primer.) Apply warm-beige concealer to the inner corner of the eye. Set the foundation and concealer with translucent loose powder. Apply pink eye shadow to the entire base of the lid. Layer black eye shadow along the upper lashline, slightly blending into
the pink eye shadow. Apply white shimmering eye shadow along the lower lashline. Apply black cream eyeliner along the upper lashline and wing out
corners slightly. Curl lashes and apply volumizing mascara to the upper eyelashes. Apply dark brown eyebrow pencil. Apply clear brow gel.Style Eyes is on sale now for $18. Purchase it online at Penguin.com or on Amazon.com.--Allie Vasilakis, Beauty and Health Intern

Get Gorgeous Hair with Joico Silk Result Collection!
For those of us who haven't been blessed with naturally straight, smooth, and shiny hair, even the simplest of daily hair care regimens can be a struggle. Though I feel like I've finally come close to mastering the art of taming my unruly hair after years of awkward, pouf-y hair days, knowing the right products to use and the right amounts of them still sometimes baffles me. Not enough product can leave my hair frizzy, but too much and it looks like I haven't washed my hair in a week.Luckily, for all of us wavy- and curly-haired girls, there's finally a solution (or at least a beginning to one) in the form of Joico Silk Result collection.

Get the Look: Armani Prive Fall 2010 Couture
We've seen the Old Hollywood Glamour look make a comeback with red
lips and black liquid eyeliner recently, but retro glamorous
hairstyles have returned to the beauty scene in a big way too, and
it's really no wonder why. Who wouldn't want to rock a voluminous
Brigitte Bardot-inspired blowout? Both sophisticated and beautiful,
it's a perfect look for any occasion. One of the best new spins on
this classic style surfaced at the Armani Prive Fall 2010 couture
show, where the models' hairstyles were so perfectly gorgeous that,
after seeing the pictures, I quickly saved them to my desktop for my
own hairstylist to recreate the next time I visited her at the salon.
"The hair at Armani Prive was super-soft and glamorous. It's rich
looking with a bit of texture," said stylist for the show, Oribe.
"It's a very blown-out look that almost sweeps into the models' faces.
We kept a little curl at the front, with everything mostly straight at
the back. We adapted the looks to let each girl's personality show
through."

Beauty Battle: Leighton Meester vs. Blake Lively
There's something about blue eye makeup that instantly takes me back to some of my more embarrassing days as a middle-schooler experimenting with bright blue eye shadow. Luckily, however, aqua- colored eye makeup doesn't always have to look so gaudy and, well, terrifying. With just the right amount of blue eyeliner, you can add instant color to your lids without appearing overdone. Last week at the Teen Choice Awards, Leighton Meester showed up with beautiful cerulean-lined upper lids that reminded me of her Gossip Girl co-star, Blake Lively, and the cobalt blue liner she rocked a while back. While Leighton's blue liner contrasted with her dark eyes and lacy white dress, Blake's navy-lined eyes added an extra pop of color to her already blue peepers. Both these Gossip Girls pulled of this daring look with style, but who do you think wore it best? Tell us in the comments section below!
