Ready or not, here comes prom! And while you may have had your dress picked out for months, those pesky accessories can get away from you...meaning your dream clutch may still be at large. Are we right? Well, look no further. This easy DIY will upgrade any simple purse to statement status with just a few scissor snips and lines of glue. And while we totally dig this burgundy version, feel free to play with different colors and textures to really make it your own. What are you waiting for? Get crafting!

2/22What You Need
-Clutch or small bag
-1/2 yard fabric
-Scissors
-Fabric glue
3/22Measure the Width of the Fabric
Lay the fabric flat. Use the size of the bag to loosely measure a strip of fabric that is about twice as wide as the bag, and cut along that measurement.
4/22Measure the Length of the Fabric
In the same way, measure and cut the strip of fabric so it is about twice as long as the bag. This will be the main part of the bow.
5/22Fold the Fabric
Lay the larger piece flat, with the "good" side of the fabric down. Fold one of the long sides in toward the center.
6/22Cut a Small Fabric Strip
Cut a smaller strip from the remaining fabric and set aside. This will be the center of the bow.
7/22Glue One Side of the Fabric
Glue along the edge.
8/22Glue the Second Side of the Fabric
Fold the other long side to meet the glue line and press in place.
9/22Glue the Edges
Apply glue along one of short edges.
10/22Fold the Fabric
Fold the glued edge into the center of the strip and press firmly.
11/22Glue the Other Side
Repeat on the other side.
12/22Fold and Press
Press firmly where the glued sides overlap. Set aside to dry.
13/22Repeat with the Smaller Fabric Strip
Fold and glue the small piece fabric lengthwise in the same way that you did with the larger fabric in Step 6.
14/22Create the Bow
Pinch the center of the large folded fabric to create a bow shape.
15/22Add the Bow Center
Wrap the smaller strip around the pinched center, adding glue as necessary.
16/22Glue the Bow
Hold the pinch and apply glue at the center.
17/22Trim the Bow Center
Trim any excess fabric, and hold the center of the bow while the glue sets.
18/22Position the Bow
Place the bow on the bag.
19/22Glue the Bow
Apply a generous amount of glue on the back of the bow.
20/22Tack the Bow
Add a little glue to the corners of the bow to tack them in place on the bag.
