DIY Cap-Toe Ballet Flats
1/6You will need
Black ballet flats
Super opaque white fabric/textile paint
Silver fabric/textile paint
Silver glitter fabric/textile paint
Paintbrush
About a foot of pastel ribbon trim
Scissors
Fabric glue
2/6Add sparkle to the toes
Paint the toe cap evenly white, and repeat on the opposite shoe. Wait for the paint to dry, then paint a layer of silver paint over the white, followed by a layer of silver glitter. This will give the toe caps a nice subtle sparkle!
3/6Paint the toes
If your ballet flats have a bow at the toe, use masking tape to tape the bow back. Using your paintbrush and opaque white paint, draw a line across the cap of the toe.
4/6Apply fabric glue
Once the paint is totally dry, use the fabric glue and draw a thin line of glue along the edge of the paint.
5/6Add a ribbon to the toe
Lay the ribbon along the glue line, and cut of the excess on the ends. Repeat this on both shoes.
6/6The finished product
Let them dry completely, and wear them with pride.
