This Easy DIY Makes Your Pleated Skirt Extra Flirty

Give the schoolgirl look a 2013 update.

What You Need
-A pleated skirt
-Fabric paint
-A plate
-A sponge
-A permanent marker
-Scissors

Draw a Heart
Carefully trace a heart on to the sponge.

Cut out the Shape
Cut out the heart shape; this is your stamp!

Dip the Stamp
Pour the fabric paint on to the plate, and dip the stamp into it.

Remove Excess Paint
Dab the stamp on the plate, removing any extra paint.

The Finished Skirt

Apply the First Stamp
Lay the skirt flat, making sure the pleats lay open. Gently press the stamp on to a pleat. After pressing it down, lift the stamp straight up to help the heart retain its shape.

Repeat the Application Process
Stamp hearts on all the pleats over the entire skirt. After the paint dries, continue stamping the back side. Follow the instructions on your fabric paint, and heat-set if necessary.
