1/11Following in the lovely footsteps of Devon Aoki, nineteen year-old Korean model Hye Park is taking the world by storm. In her debut season, she walked for a slew of high-profile designers from Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui to Phoebe Philo and Miuccia Prada. But her star status doesn't stop there. Only a year after being discovered in a local mall in her hometown of Salt Lake City, Hye has landed fall campaigns for DG and Roberto Cavalli. If that isn't enough, she has also posed for a handful of s (American, French, and Italian included). It's about time! This knockout is more than making up for an undeniable deficit in Asian models.
2/11I was so nervous to do this show. Anna Sui is my favorite designer and I've wanted to be in her show since before I was a model.
3/11photo text: The Imitation of Christ show took place at the Lever House, which is famous for its glass walls. As we walked, people on the street could see inside, plus there was a live singer.
4/11It's so fun with all the celebrities sitting in the front row (like here at Marc Jacobs).
5/11It was too bad that I had to wear sunglasses at the Dolce and Gabbana show, because I loved the way my eyes looked with fake lashes. I want to try them in the real world.
6/11Backstage I usually chat with the other models, eat, and talk to my boyfriend on my cell phone.
7/11I was so excited to be in the DG show. My outfit was simple, but fancy—and I loved the hair!
8/11At Roberto Cavalli there was no time in between looks and I had to be really careful with the delicate dresses, but the music, makeup, and clothes made it the most fun show of the season!
9/11There aren't many Asian models so I felt really proud to walk for such a high-profile designer like Miuccia Prada.
10/11I love these colors together. They make for such a chic outfit. If I could walk away with anything this season it would be this shirt and jacket from Chloé.
11/11Every show I did wanted to hide my short bangs. I learned from the stylists (like Guido Palau at Louis Vuitton) how to use hair products and tricks to make them practically disappear.
