1/8The Veterans
Taylor Lautner - No matter what anyone says, this is his movie. Sorry, Team Edwarders. The young actor really shows his chops. We can't wait to see him in with Lily Collins.
2/8The Veterans (continued)
Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) and Nikki Reed (Rosalie) - These Cullens get significant screentime when we see their vampire beginnings. The back stories are well-told and well-acted, and it's nice to see these characters get attention and depth.
3/8The Newcomers
Xavier Samuel (Riley) - This adorable Aussie has a much bigger role than in the book (which, believe us, is a good thing). He’s simultaneously scary and sexy—an excellent combination.

Julia Jones (Leah Clearwater) - This gorgeous young actress plays Leah perfectly with a fiery temper and stubborn streak.

Jodelle Ferland (Bree Tanner) - Besides getting her own spin-off novella (and maybe movie, we hope?), Bree gets some significant screen time as well. And Jodelle is beautiful—even as a newborn vampire.
6/8The Music
’s soundtrack is particularly cool this time around; less indie and angry and more thoughtful. Our favorite tracks: "Eclipse (All Yours)," Metric; "Heavy in Your Arms," Florence + the Machine; "Chop and Change," The Black Keys; and "Life on Earth," Band of Horses.
7/8The Costumes
While there's still lots of Cullen gray and Forks winter gear, Jasper and Rosalie's back stories take place in different eras, so the costumes are amazing. The Volturi are eerie and fashion-forward, vamping it up, as usual.
8/8The Wolfpack
Although it’s a bit jarring to see random CGI moments, in this installment the wolf pack looks a lot less cheesy. (Not to mention all of the scenes with shirtless werewolves before they morph—we approve!) Meet the wolfpack >>
