1/6What You’ll Need
brown briefcase scissors, hammer, tape, paintbrush, x-acto knife red nail polish 3 patches and fabric glue square- and star-shaped silver studs 4 hotel stickers (try hellotraveler.com) two brown leather belts
2/6Step 1: The Beaten Path
Scratch and scruff the bag with scissors and a hammer. Use strips of tape to make two V shapes with an inch between them across the front of the briefcase.
3/6Step 3: Sticky Business
Glue three patches around the clasp. Hammer the studs down the front center of the bag and around the V. Place stickers on the top left and right.
4/6Step 2: Well Red
Paint inside the V with nail polish. Also apply polish to the hardware on the handle and clasp. Give it time to dry, then remove the tape.
5/6Step 4: Buckle Up
Flip the bag. With the X-Acto , slice slits just bigger than the width of the belt at the top and bottom, left and right. Pull the belts through and add studs.
