New Music Friday is back, and this week's selection of best new songs and releases has banger after banger… after banger. BLACKPINK is officially back in your area with the drop of their second studio album Born Pink, EST Gee releases his long-awaited debut album I Never Felt Nun, and there's a slew of hot new singles from Kiana Ledé, Chloe Moriondo, and Ravyn Lenae with KAYTRANADA and Doechii. BLACKPINK, BORN PINK

The world's biggest girl group has made their grand return with Born Pink, their 8-track sophomore effort. Blackpink's newest project is ambitious, show-stopping, and downright supersonic. Los Angeles BLINKs are in for a special treat this weekend, with the Spotify-presented BORN PINK: The Pop-Up Experience in their city from September 16-18. The immersive 3-day experience and fan destination was designed by Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa themselves (find out more here!). Along with the release of the album, Blackpink also dropped the music video for the album's second track, “Shut Down" — check it out above!

EST Gee, I Never Felt Nun

28-year-old rapper EST Gee first broke into the mainstream with his 2020 mixtape Ion Feel Nun. A few months later, its follow-up I Still Don't Feel Nun arrived. Three more mixtapes, countless collabs with heavy-hitters like Future and Young Thug, and one deal with Yo Gotti's Collective Music Group and Interscope Records later, EST Gee has delivered the next chapter of his story — his debut studio album, I Never Felt Nun

The 21-track project features Jeezy, Machine Gun Kelly, Future, and EST Gee's fellow Louisville, Kentuckians Bryson Tiller and Jack Harlow. EST Gee dropped the video for his single with Jack, “Backstage Passes,” today along with the album. Directed by Cole Bennett, the video is flashy, brash, and charismatic, throwing Jack and Gee against a canvas of primary colors. See the video for yourself above.

Kiana Ledé, “Irresponsible”

R&B princess Kiana Ledé is back with new single “Irresponsible."  Kiana's harmonies float effortlessly atop a beat that's reminiscent of early 2000s R&B anthems. The vocalist calls out an ex-lover in the lyrics, crafting this song specifically for those who have known the push-and-pull of an intoxicating situationship: “Oh, so irresponsible / Making me fall, fall head first for you / You let me set my feelings on the loose / Knowing deep down you wouldn't follow through… You could've left mе alone but it's cool / Baby, there's somе sh*t that you just don't do." Chloe Moriondo, “Cdbaby<3”

Today, alt-pop rising star Chloe Moriondo drops “Cdbaby<3," the second single from her forthcoming album SUCKERPUNCH. Chloe's latest project, expected October 7, is a follow-up to the singer's debut studio album Blood Bunny which was released in 2021. “She is sweet and vulnerable and sad and special and another sweet step into the SUCKERPUNCH world,” Chloe said of her new single in a statement. “I hope you love her!!” And we do — the thumping, hypnotic track perfectly showcases why Chloe is one of indie pop's brightest rising stars. Rayvn Lenae, KAYTRANADA & Doechii, “Xtasy (Remix)”

Singer-songwriter Ravyn Lenae has spun the block with a remix to her Kaytranada-produced song “Xtasy," now featuring the Swamp Princess herself, Doechii. The song has received overwhelming praise from fans for truly being a remix — a new version of a beloved song, not just an addition of a feature. “Xtasy” originally appeared on Ravyn's critically-acclaimed debut album Hypnos.
