Actor Anna Cathcart is ready for her close-up. The XO, Kitty star is following in the step of her older om-screen sister Landa Condor with her own TATB spinoff series as Lara Jean's wisecracking little sister Kitty Covey, and she's opening up to Allure about everything beauty she's learned from being on set.

"I'm always asking different people that I work with, 'What do you suggest? What [do] you think is needed?'" Teen Vogue's May cover star explains of her skin care education. XO, Kitty filmed in South Korea, so Cathcart got a full crash course in facial excellence, and her enthusiasm for all things beauty only deepened from there. Despite her globe-trotting career and ever-growing crew of fans, Cathcart's routine is pretty accessible — especially her trusty foundation, which rings up at about $3 at the moment.

Cathcart tells Allure that she's loyal to Rimmel's Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation because she loves the lightweight matte finish. The foundation is formulated to feel like a light and easy-to-blend mousse, but beneath that airy finish is a true powerhouse product. The foundation minimizes the look of pores, provides full coverage, and comes in 24 shades, all for less than a latte.

What else gets Cathcart's coveted stamp of approval? She uses micellar water to pre-cleanse, specifically Vichy Pureté Thermale Micellar Water for Combination to Oily Skin. "Micellar water is a go-to, I need it," she explains. Another must in her routine is the Bioderma Sébium Mat Control moisturizer, which works well for her oily skin.

When it comes to makeup products, Cathcart sticks to the essentials: Benefit Cosmetics GALifornia Powder Blush, which she's been using for years, and Glossier's beloved Balm Dotcom. "Even on no-makeup days, it is still a product that I use because it's perfect for every level of glam," she shares.

Her number one, can't-live-without-it product is just as affordable as her foundation and one you've probably used before: Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets & Blotting Paper. The convenient sheets are perfect for controlling oil. "I will use six a day because [the sheets] will freshen you up, [whether] you're wearing makeup or not," Cathcart explains. "Your face feels nicer and lighter. Also, it completely mattifies you."
