Student Film Leads to Lock down at Arkansas State University [UPDATE]

The school went through a scary couple of hours.

UPDATE: The Arkansas State University lockdown was lifted shortly after officials discovered the suspected shooters were actors working on a student film. According to CBS, they were interviewed and deemed to be non-threatening. The school's website posted the following message, declaring normal operations as of 2:42 p.m.

PREVIOUSLY: Arkansas State University has been placed on lockdown following reports of gun men spotted on campus.

“Two males with weapons reported near the Student Union,” the University tweeted. “Lockdown immediately until further notice.”

They have since updated followers on the last known location, and updated the account to include an additional gun men.

According to CBS, officials for the school have yet to comment outside of social media. Students have begun responding to the situation on Twitter, alerting their peers to stay safe.
