While we spent the majority of our weekend glued to Instagram checking out the coolest, weirdest, and spookiest Halloween costumes, we couldn't help but tear ourselves away for a minute to take in the chicness from Saturday's star-studded LACMA Art and Film Gala.
Three of our favorite celebs caught our eye in something we wouldn't normally expect to grab attention: a long black dress. The other LBD, as it were.
The players? Nicola Peltz, Riley Keough, and Cara Delevingne. Each rocked a different iteration in a totally unique way, but all three looked gorgeous. Ready for the breakdown?
Let's start with Nicola. The queen of simple, understated chic, the Transformers star went with a classic Gucci column dress. Her black nails and relad blonde locks kept her looking age-appropriate, but there's no disguising the elegance of that silhouette. She's an Audrey in the making.
Riley, on the other hand, stayed true to her edgier style with a short-sleeve, sheer-paneled gown. The dress features almost like a faux crop top that ties just under the bust and a front slit, making it anything but a boring black dress. Her simple hair and dark red lip added a touch of glamour, but the whole look was very rock-'n'-roll-meets-red-carpet.
And Cara. Oh Cara. The It Brit also chose Gucci (the designer sponsored the event) in the form of a one-shoulder floor-length gown with a sequined cape. We'll say it again: A. Sequined. Cape. The beauty of this dress (among many things) is that it looks like it's just a one-shoulder column gown—until Cara walks and you catch the sparkles on the underside of the cape. She balanced the all-black look with a cat eye, pretty pink cheeks and lips, and a headline-making new hair color.
And now it's decision time. We can't wait to hear which look you love the most—vote below, and tell us all about your choice in the comments.
